With just two months until the crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin, many Nigerians are still worried about the absence of a substantive coach who will manage the team.

Emmanuel Amuneke (Nigeria)
Touted by many football enthusiasts as the next potential coach of the Super Eagles after the departure of Jose Peseiro in February. He seems the authorities’ choice if they can’t afford to bankroll an employment of a foreign coach.
Amuneke will be remembered for leading the Golden Eaglets to win the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. With some of the players such as Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze already playing for the Super Eagles.
The 53-year-old has played a pivotal role in nurturing several Nigerian talents who have successfꦰully tran🐷sitioned from youth football to the senior national team.

He had a successful stint with the Tanzania senior national team, qualifying the team for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, where they lost all three matches against Algeria, Senegal, and Kenya in Group C.
Domènec Torrent (Spain)
Former assistant coach to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, Torrent will be counting on his experience, having worked with high-profile clubs in Europe.
The 61-year-old has worked closely with Guardiola throughout his coaching career, including stints at Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, where they achieved significant success, winning numerous trophies.
Torrent’s last job as manager was when he was named Galatasaray head coach in 2022. However, after a string of losses in the Super Lig, he was shown the exit door on June 21, 2022.
While Torrent is yet to secure a trophy as a head coach, he is known for instilling a silky attacking style of play in his teams, a quality many Nigerians have been yearning for since the Super Eagles’ performance at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where they won silver after losing to the host, Cote d’Ivoire, in the final.
Toni Conceicao (Portugal)
Conceicao is not a stranger to African football culture, having coached the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, where he finished in the top spot in the qualifying series of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations despite being the host.
However, he led the team to a third-place finish before he was dismissed in 2022.
Some of the clubs the Portuguese tactician has coached include CFR Cluj, Moreirense, Nea Salamina, Penafiel, and Belenenses, to name a few.
Conceicao will compete with several high-profile coaches on the continent for the coveted position of managing the three-time AFCON champions.
UNFAVORED CANDIDATES
Finidi George (Nigeria)
One of Jose Peseiro’s assistant coaches left the job after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, where Nigeria finished second.
Finidi is another quality coach who has made his name with Enyimba International before being saddled with the responsibility of managing the Super Eagles on an interim basis.
Victory for the Super Eagles against their arch-rivals, the Black Stars of Ghana in an international friendly in his first game in charge was a big result for his dossier. However, a loss against Mali in his second game in charge put questions on his ability to manage the team.
Danny Buijs (The Netherlands)
Danny Buijs is a 41-year-old manager from the Netherlands who is currently in charge of Fortuna Sittard. Buijs’ Fortuna Sittard is currently 11th on the Eredivisie table with just nine wins from 30 league games.
It’s worth noting that Danny Buijs ended his playing career with amateur side Kozakken Boys, and a couple of years after his retirement, he became the team’s head coach.
It’s important to point out that Buijs has no experience with national teams; he didn’t even represent any country during his playing days.
Herve Renard (France)
He was once regarded as the white-witch doctor of African football, having won the Africa Cup of Nations with two different nations, Ivory Coast, and Zambia respectively.
Recall that in 2012, he led Chipolopolo of Zambia to win their first-ever Afcon trophy before helping Ivory Coast to their second Afcon trophy in 2015.
At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Renard’s Saudi Arabia team shocked the football world by defeating eventual world champion Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the group stages.
Still under contract with the French female football team, Renard needs no introduction again as he has seen it when it comes to African football. It is, however, not yet known if the NFF will be patient enough to wait until his cont♏ract expires on May 31st.

As Super Eagles fan, i feel there’s no need rushing to employing a new coach mostly now that we have few weeks to important matches. I would rather suggest that Finidi continues till after the qualifiers to give the NFF apple time. Or, the NFF can rely on their constitution to enable its technical department over see the June matches.

He could not even get a point at the so called AFCON he qualify Tanzania to. And the qualification itself was not due to his performance but as a result of other teams in the group fumbling. SA will beat SE home and away if they dare appoint Amunike.

I agree with @Monday that time is too short to be experimenting with a new coach, who may not understand the sentiments, strength and weaknesses of the current SE squad before the double WC qualifiers against South Africa and Benin- and that the interim coach Finidi should be allowed to handle those matches and if possible given the role for atleast two years or more if he can qualify the SE for the 2026 World Cup.

Ivory Coast were not fantastic, SE approach to the match made them look like super stars. Aina was injured, likewise Ekong. Iwobi was played out of position throughout the tournament. Osimhen made to run all the field without support. He refuses to make use of the bench. He worn out all the starting 11 b4 the final.

@John-1, As a national team coach, Renard won AFCON with Cote d’Ivoire and later with Zambia. He did well with Saudi Arabia as well. He is not in the same league as Rorh, Peseiro and Amuneke. His pedigree is way higher.
I doubt if the NFF can afford Renard’s asking wages.
The deciding factor in this search for a new coach is finance. If the NNF has the funds, they would go for a foreign coach, otherwise, they will settle for Amuneke

I understand the pure footballing arguments of people like Dr. Drey, Mr Hush, and Mr Greenturf who still believe a solid foreign is the best bet and can’t trust a Nigerian coach, no matter what their name is. The Tanzanian FA knew the backdoor deal they pulled ahead of their last qualifier vs Uganda to qualify for the 2019 AFCON, and they knew point blank it had little to do with Amuneke’s tactical prowess, that was why they never hesitated to sack Amuneke after the AFCON.
The man was subsequently demoted to Academy coach in Egypt within 2 months and sacked for almost relegating one of the biggest clubs in Zambia within 7 months.

What people are not even considering is the salary. The minister of sports has declared they won’t foot the salary of the new coach. We know how they had to intervene to clear the backlog of Paseiro’s accumulated to avoid a repeat of the Rohr scenario.
What was Toni Conceição previously? What is his current salary demand? What was Domènec Torrent Font’s last salary at Galatasaray? Would he be willing to accept NFF’s peanut offer? We know how stingy they are and never ever wanting to offer more than $45K or $50K?
Amuneke, I know, out of patriotism wont mind that salary? Unlike the other 2 final candidates, coaching the national team would not be just business. Talking about local coaches with similar certificates, you can place Amunike with Olise, Sia1 or Egbo.
If the nff insists on a local coach, Olise or Egbo remains the leading candidate.
The competition to be appointed as Super Eagles Coach is getting fiercer as leading candidates are now exploring the social media to market themselves but the truth is that the Honourable minister who was quoted as saying “the Super Eagles Coach will be announced next week”, erred on the side of reality. The reason being you cannot be appointing a substantive coach looking at facts around time. Time is so important, in fact, so that if you didn’t have any, you couldn’t do anything at all just like saying because of the mad rush, time wasn’t availed the supposedly new substantive coach to deliver. In my honest opinion, I think Finidi should continue on interim basis while proper negotiation continues. Up Super Eagles!
Instead of an Amunike who is a serial failure as a manager, I would rather the NFF settle for Gbenga Ogunbote or Kadiri Ikhana. At least those are tested local coaches. Amunike lost all games in 2019 AFCON. People saying Tanzania had no soccer pedigree should tell us what pedigree Madagascar has. In the same tournament, Madagascar, under a real manager, topped their group stage, beating Nigeria 2-1. Or should we talk about Mauritania eliminating Algeria from the 2023 AFCON in CIV? Thats how coaches announce themselves on the continental stage.

What we just found out is that Austine Eguaveon the technical adviser should pick Coach Finidi George and Amuneke to form strong and formidable unit witj him as intetim coach being old players, and as Nigerians, are good to take the Eagles beyond qualifying games and to World Cup as indigenous coaches.
Is Amuneke the Right Man For The Job?
The NFF have at least made progress in shortlisting the number of candidates to three for the Super Eagles coaching role.
There is this divide as to whether to go for a local or foreign coach. My preference is clear: a foreign gaffer all the way.
But with Emmanuel Amuneke one of the front-runners, will it be such a bad idea if he lands to plum role?
It’s hard to tell really. His senior coaching record is not entirely glittering but it will be shallow to write him off on this basis.
My worry with Amuneke is if he will be able to command the respect of the players and whether he has the strength of character to assemble players that can buy into his philosophy in a compelling manner?
Again, it’s really hard to tell. The only data we have to go by is Amuneke’s underwhelming senior management football records. But even that can be an unhelpful barometer as to how he will perform in future.
So, at this stage, the NFF has to do their due diligence and recruit whichever coach performs best in the interviews with presentation on how they will take the Super Eagles from where we are to where we ought to be.
Aside Late Keshi and Amodu, indigenous coaches rarely qualify Nigeria for the World Cup and rarely perform beyond the semi-final of Afcons.
Perhaps, if recruited, Amuneke can buck that trend – I hope so.

Coaches are hired and fired based on records or lack thereof. Why should Amunike be different? Why should we be held down on emotional blackmail cause ‘he is our own’?!
I dare say, if we are not going for a quality foreign coach and insist on an indigenous coach, why not keep Finidi? What’s the difference between him Amunike or Eguavoen? It’s still going to be the same sentimental management.

Tanzania qualified inspite of Amunike. Much was dependent on his opponents flaws rather than his tactical prowess. Even if I give him his flowers on that, his tactical deficiency was exposed in the tournament proper.

The reason the Super Falcons have a level of stability and partial growth is because the coach was picked based on records. He was simply the most qualified of the applicants at the time. Though Waldrum has his shortcomings (especially with Trinidad and Tobago),he has senior championship titles to his name. He has basically created sporting program. Hence there’s no surprise he got the job and doing well so far with the Super Falcons.
We want the same of the Eagles. Same managerial expertise ( if not better) and definitely,the stability.
Coaches must earn their office. Merit over anything.

Is it on the basis of their records as SE coaches? An opportunity that Not only Eguavoen and Finidi had had with abysmal results, but also Olise, Siasia, and Amokachi? What makes the star man of their generation (the 1994 AFPOTY winner and scorer of all trophy-winning goals at Atlanta and Tunisia 94) not worthy of the same opportunity?
Is it on the basis of being deemed quality enough by a foreign national team or club to be hired? Which none of them bar Amuneke has achieved. The only other of their set that did it, Keshi won us the 2013 Afcon. This was the only indigenous coach at par with Amuneke in my opinion. He’s not at the level of anyone else.
Is it on the basis of winning a tournament they led the team to? Which Eguavien (U17), Siasia (U20), Oliseh (CHAN), but Amuneke succeeded in?
Is it on the basis of their coaching license, which only Amuneke has the UEFA Pro A license, the highest coaching certification?
What was Paseiro’s stellar record before coming to Nigeria to burnish his image and demand a higher salary after Afcon? At least over 100 coaches applied for the SE role, and Amuneke is the only local coach who made the final shortlist of 3. That says a lot. How does Amuneke then come behind any living local coach, including Findi and Eguavoen?
If he didn’t explore with FIFA U17 coaching role, and his jobs in Tanzania and clubs in Sudan, Egypt, and Zambia, what criteria would we have used? Eguavoen had none of this except the inability to even qualify a U17 from the group. No past records to judge him by, yet he was handed the SE coaching role?
Paseiro had nothing to write home about in Venezuela and Paseiro, yet we were okay for him to handle the SE. But never Amuneke. Because why? His record in Tanzania was worse than Paseiro’s record in Saudi Arabia? Even the so-called Torrent had a terrible record with Galatasaray, but we wouldn’t mind him being handed the job. But Amuneke must solely be judged based on those same indices?

You are practically just saying it is Amunke’s turn since his 94 squad teammates have had their turns, more so being the one who scored the goals that won AFCON and Olympics. He is contesting with a Toni Conceciao and a Dominic Torrent so kindly base your comparisons with those guys and tell us if his CV is more impressive than theirs. That is how jobs are gotten in civilized and professional climes.
If he has a better CV than theirs, fine…let him have the job, but I bet you wouldnt be talking like this if any white man indicates interest in the SE job with the kind of CV Amuneke is parading. A vivid example is that Domenec Torrent doesn’t seem to be good enough for you, despite his long term successful association with Guadiola as an assistant manager, based on the fact that his profile as a Manager has been underwhelming, But Amuneke with his own very rag tag senior team profile suddenly looks fitting for a SE role just because he is your own…? Just as in the case of Joseph Yobo, many of those who are clamoring for Amuneke are club owners/administrators in the Nigeirian league, why have they not appointed him to coach their clubs all these while since they have so much faith in him…? Secondly, all those 94 guys we have been experimenting with out of pity and sentiments have ended in disaster, yet you are advocating for us to experiment with another one whom we already even have the benefit of gauging with his last 4 assignments with senior teams which have all ended in disaster too…? The fact that all you have to list as Amuneke’s accolades are mostly his playing career achievements is already a red flag.

Someone is even talking trash about a coach that got a team to its first final appearance within a decade. A coach that got his team to the finals of the most competitive AFCON ever.

A coach that was so smart to adjust his tactics to the best approach for the set of players he took to AFCON.
If these are the 3 shortlisted candidates, them Pesseiro should be allowed to continue. He has got momentum going well for him. He understands how to get the best out of the serious players and how to allow the unserious ones rot in bench. All he needs to do is to retain the about 15 players that justofied their invitatiom and replace the extra tires.

Oliseh, Siasia, and Eguavoen had no coaching record with senior teams before they were entrusted with the SE, yet they’re okay? They even failed at the age-grade. Yet they’re better. You’re judging them on their records at the SE level, but don’t think Amuneke should have that chance.
Should we even talk about Paseiro’s failure with Venezuela and Saudi Arabia? But you’re judging the man so harshly cos of all the indigenous coaches in Nigeria (aside the late Stephen), he’s the only one who has had a coaching record with senior team that is not Nigeria.
Show me a single living indigenous coach that has both won a global FIFA tournament and coached a foreign national team and club? Just one! Not 2. Who has had that courage if they were that good?
Suddenly Paseiro is good cos he had a chance to coach SE after we overlooked his “serial failures” in Venezuela and Saudi Arabia.
Let’s see if NFF would be able to afford the asking salaries of Torrent or Conceiciao, which I suspect will be in the region of N120K. Otherwise, Amuneke is the confirmed next SE coach cos he’ll accept $50K, which the others won’t.
In less than a week, we shall al rest from the arguments and accept reality. Amuneke is 80% likely to get the job based on finances at least.
Peserio may have failed with Venezuela and Saudi Arabia, but he had the pedigree of being a several-times domestic and continental finalist in his club coaching career to fall back on. So we could give him benefit of doubt.
Yet we were all witnesses to his struggles, even with a big team like the SE. It showed vividly that he was not one with experience of imposing his ideas with 2-3 training sessions as obtainable in International football as opposed to club football where you get to be with your players almost every day

U17 World cup is nothing in the eyes of serious footballing nations….its a developmental tournament for both players and coaches for most of them. Its like the Gothia Cup or Toloun Tournament or Varrgio Cup or those youth tournaments spread all over Europe. Its not what serious coaches bank on in their CVs to get Senior team coaching jobs at club or international level. It can be a major advantage when applying for a “youth coach” job, not a senior coaching job.
We can as well just engage Manu Garba who built by far the best U17 team Nigeria ever produced….a team that ever only lost once in over 70 matches. He even went ahead and won the U20 AFCON thereafter whereas yours sincerely failed to qualify for U20 AFCON when moved a step higher.
Yea, congrats to Amuneke for having the courage to even step outside to compete for jobs. But it has all ended in tears. He should keep working hard to better his records so far, otherwise the “he qualified Tanzania for AFCON” story is stale now. Others have not just qualified teams to AFCON but have made huge statements with those teams. This is 2024, and international clubs and national teams will not buy that any longer….and surely they wouldn’t buy “he won a boys’ tournament a decade ago” too.

Before even considering their coaching careers , just take a retrospect at their football career , they both played at better clubs than your own Amunike , internationally they played for Spain a country that is more organized and exposed than Nigeria. Before these two coaches became the coach of Bayern and Barcelona they must have been seconded to several top clubs to understudy football tactics and organization.
Now come back to your own Amunike whose only success and exposure is U17 with bunch of mostly over rated players.How many top clubs have Amunike understudy that makes him qualify to be the head coach of Super Eagles.
Now talking about Cisse, it is unfortunate that Cisse wasted best generation of players from Senegal. His only achievement was just winning nation cup, with the caliber of players that Senegal had then if they were coached by a seasoned coach , they have the potential of reaching semi final. Look at the way England made them look stupid at the World Cup. It’s high time we realized that players alone can’t win trophies , African needs to invest on coaching to bring out the best in our games.
Dre – I don’t need any Google to check the coaching records of the listed coaches. They all coached academy players before getting their coaching jobs. Only Xavi Hernandez coached Al Sad (which is not enough CV to coach FC BARCELONA). Xabi Alonso coached Real Sociedad B (more like an Academy). Pep Guardiola coached Barcelona B too. None of them had any huge reputation or achievements before being appointed to coach huge clubs. In fact, no one expected Pep Guardiola to take over from Frank Rijkaard when big Coaches like Mourinho submitted application lol.
So which one of the above was ever demoted for poor performance…? If they were serial failures even at academy level would they have been given bigger jobs…?
Which one of them is currently coaching their National teams now….??? Or did they all not have stellar enough playing careers for the Spanish FA to have employed any of them as National team coach…?

Since he coached our U17 to win the world cup,how well did he perform with the U20 when he was given the vhance.He should go and develop himself at least get into the finals or semi-finals of a club cup competition. The task of handling youth teams cannot be compared to handling senior teams.

My comments are not motivated by emotions or hatred, they are real fact. Are you comparing Amunike with Pesseiro ? Pesseiro had coached top clubsides in Europe including Porto and Africa Al Ahly), won trophies, reached UEFA cup final before applying to coach the Super Eagles.
That is the globally accepted model for coaches.
Amunike has failed in all senior coaching jobs. Besides, he has failed to develop since winning the cadet trophy.
If Pesseoro criteria is applied to the requirement, none of these three will get to the stage. Amunike is only there because of sentiments and power play.
Finidi is still the coach of Enyimba and he gas won the local league. What is stopping Amunike from coaching a local vlubside like Heartland or Abia Warriors. He has been jobless for a long time. Is he bigger than Finidi in World football ? Has he achieved more than Finidi in coaching and playing careers?
The national team is not a rehabilitation center, it is a global brand for deserving coaches.
Before joining the Super Eagles, can you tell us why paseiro failed with Venezuela. I believe you have the record. The one that was qualifying us with games to spare, can you tell us how he is fairing next door. May i suggest you go check his record before saying Finidi achieved more than him. Firstly, if I had my way ,I would never have hired any. With all due respects to the mentioned names, none are good enough for the Eagles, if the FA really regards the Super Eagles. If we are that good with finances, we should be seeking higher and much more better quality.
But alas, here we are.
That said, I stand to be corrected but Eguavoen, Peseiro are much more qualified than Amunike based on records and experience.
Eguavoen took the Eagles to Afcon bronze. Won the Federation cup with Enyimba.
Peseiro took Sporting Lisbon to UEFA cup finals. He won the Portuguese FA cup with Braga.
Though both Eguavoen and Peseiro path have been mostly inglorious, they have actually shared a bit of success. AND this is in Senior level.
I am not against Amunike’s exploring but that his records out there has not painted him in a good light.
And like I said, I am not a big fan of most of the applicants, I feel the Super Eagles deserves better. But this is where we find ourselves. To those available to us, I just don’t trust Amunike’s record. I got nothing against him, I am a big fan. He is one of my favourite Superstars. But I am just being logical here.
But as you alluded to in one of your write ups, if for Financial reasons the Fa can’t get the better qualified coaches and pick Amunike, I will respect their judgement, wish Amnunike and support him. It is for our good.

Amunike is not good enough, Finidi is not good enough. At best they can continue to work as assistants to any decent foreign coach. We can never win this WorldCup group with an indigenous coach. I have nothing against indigenous coaches, but in my opinion non of them can manage the SuperEagles. They’re mostly player agents and they can never command the respect of our players. Especially players filled with ego and extremely talented.
If we can not afford a decent foreign coach to continue from where Peseiro stopped then we should just watch our WorldCup hopes go down the toilet. Nigeria can never afford a Klopp or Mourinho or Simeone or Pep or even Pochetino.
A good tactical foreign coach with vast knowledge of African football and man management in the region of $50k to $100k shouldn’t be too much for us as a football nation.
What has Gareth Southgate won, since he became coach of England, even as a player. Was made England under-21 manager despite his losing record at Middlesbrough. So what makes him different from Amueneke. So after 3 games with a team that makes him a serial failure, na wa for una in that country.

Amunike’s U-17 squad produced the current African footballer of the year. So technically, Amunike assembled a better U-17 Squad. Many Garba’s team have all disappeared into thin air except Kelechi Iheanacho who’s is constantly bashed here by same people here lol

Manu Garba rather assembled the best u17 team composed of Awoniyi and Kelechi Iheanacho that bemused the world with total football. Manu Garba is an example of excellence whose them brimming with brilliance gave Nigerians the best moment of that year in world football.

And how do we identify the best other than taking an unbias look at what each man has done with his career, MOST ESPECIALLY at the senior level….given that the SE is not a youth team and the demand, dynamics and deliverables of youth coaching is as far as the heavens from the earth in relation to Senior Coaching.
If the best for you is the man who has coached close to 6 clubs in his career and has never as much as even gotten to any cup final or finished respectably on a league table but mostly does the opposite (swim them into relegation waters), in fact he was even demoted to Academy coach in one of his many misadventures….. If the best for you is the man who has assisted 2 major failures (2017 AFCON and 2022 WC Qualifications)….If the best for you is the man who through a sold final home qualifier, qualified Tanzania for a 24 Team AFCON as the last of 4 best loosers, but found even Kenya too difficult pick a point from at the main tournament (Madagascar defeated Nigeria in 2019, Comoros defeated Ghana in 2022, Maritania defeated Algeria in 2024, even a PE teacher like Rohr managed to muscle out a draw for Niger republic vs DRC in 2013)…..If these are the “past coaching achievements” that makes him the next best option for you as SE coach……then I have no option that to heartily congratulate you for your irredeemable nepotistic nature.
I have had several hurdles in life, but I let my portfolio speak for me, not my connections or my racial or political affiliations. Any job or project my profile and portfolio cannot get me is not mine and will never be mine. I have never been a scarvenger and will not start being one till I breathe my last.

I think we are missing something from Amunike’s Cv. We just can’t see it.
We need a home product and to grow it. It doesn’t matter if he doesn’t do well now, but ad long as he grows and improves. No club or country in the West will give him and other African coaches the opportunity to grow, not even the Toures.
Grooming a local coach who has potentials at home is like waiting in hopeful hunger before fetching and feeding from your own farm.
We want to be self reliant. No field be soared and sacrifices must be made, as long as the vision is clear.
What have foreign coaches offered us at the world cup and nations cup after all? 2nd place, 3rd place and 4th place finishing? These are not the results we want. So, they are indispensable.

They cannot grow by leading our clubs to at least group stages of CAF competitions which they have found to be perennially elusive……..They cannot grow by leading our CHAN team to consistent participation and challenge for the CHAN trophy (since it is widely believed we have ‘many talents’ in our local league)……They cannot develop by being long-standing understudies in the SE.
Their only developmental route is always straight from the highest coaching job in the land.
Continue to treat your national team as a nursery and let’s see if Nigerian players will remain desirable in the global football market after we have plunged back to 70th in the world becos we can no longer qualify for even our continental tournaments.

It was never about ability at Barcelona but injuries. Amunike’s story was like Osman Dembele, Owen Hargreaves, Prosinecki e.t.c. He was crack in the few games he played for Barca. Even with his Barca injuries, he was a terrific player for Nigeria – A BIG NATIONAL HERO!
Amunike has lost out afterall, a foreign coach will be announced before the end of this week. No Nigerian coach can handle eagles at this time cos of corruption.

All this issue of looking for a new coach would not have arise, if Finidi had used the same formation he should in defeating Ghana in the friendly and had defeated Mali, he would have saved Nigeria a lot of stress and he would automatically be appointed as the new coach. You’re right but Finidi’s temperament exposed his flaws at that instant most especially how he handled the team with so match jittery. To coach the SE your confidence level must be top notch and he lacks that confidence. I wanted him to get the job but he is not tough enough when the going gets hard.
National Orientation Agency is not nff and can not make decision for nff. Amunike serial failure is now officially the coach of the SE managed by an unrelated entity. By the time this brouhaha is over Amunike will be an unfortunate story of a lucky footballer who ignored the impact of humility and faith but got blinded by
ego pushed by delusion aided by bigotry and ended up on the grass level. The nff is not foolish to hand the team to someone that does not measure up to their requirement.

The nff is the main problem, similar treated was meted out to Waldrum. Knowing fully well that Pesseiro has grown in confidence and acceptance like Waldrum and can’t be pushed aside, the nff is not willing to retain him cuz they want a pushover coach.
