  • Mr Njarealist please help me: Is Harmony Chidi the same person as Harmony Achifula?

    • Why am I still seeing the name of Taiwo Afolabi in the u-17 ‘s?? She is already in the u-20 ‘s naa???

      • In Yoruba, they say: “Ti iwaju o ba she lo, eyin a she pada si!”

This is a lady that should already be a feature in the Super Falcons.

@Emecco, because she was listed as 15 years old (born 2 March 2007) at the 2022 U17 WWC.

Several players have played in more than WC at the same age level, and players like (for example) Linda Caicedo played for Colombia at the 2022 U17 WWC (in November 2022) – AFTER playing at the U20 WWC earlier in the year (in August 2022), as well playing for the Colombia senior national team same year.

Accordingly, wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Taiwo play in BOTH the U17 and U20 WWCs this year.

@deo, yes, her full name is Chidi Harmony Achifula

  • 9jaRealist, people have tipped Achifula to be the next Asisat Oshoala!

Looking at it, I think Bankole has an even more stronger squad than 2 years ago. That Ramota Kareem is another dynamite to keep an eye on.

Then we forever-young Taiwo Afolabi in midfield, I tip this team to qualify for and even lift the Under-17 world cup.

I would also keep an eye on Peace Effiong (Rivers Angel), one of the best rookies in the later part of the NWFL season.

And I agree with the assessment of the midfield. Taiwo, Mary Adefemi and lefty Shakirat Moshood are a solid combination . GOOD LUCK to the team. African qualifiers can be really tricky.
